Actors Ryou Ryuusei and Atsuhiro Inukai, the protagonists of the live-action film based on the manga written by Kenji Inoue and illustrated by Kimitake Yoshioka, Grand Blue, revealed that the film's premiere in Japan will take place on August 7.
The actors made this announcement during an online broadcast made through Instagram on May 29. The film, meanwhile, was scheduled to be released on May 29, but due to the health situation Japan is going through caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, it had been decided to delay it indefinitely.
The manga was already adapted to the anime by Zero-G studios and released in July 2018. For their part, Inoue and Yoshioka began publishing the manga in Good! Magazine. Afternoon by Kodansha Publishing House in April 2014.
