“Jujutsu Kaisen” began serialization in March 2018 and quickly became a phenomenon, attracting millions of fans around the world. With its imminent end, the series follows in the footsteps of “My Hero Academia,” which also concluded this month, closing a significant chapter for Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, which has seen how both series defined a generation.

Both works have reached the astonishing figure of more than 100 million copies sold, establishing themselves as some of the most successful manga of all time. In fact, “Jujutsu Kaisen” has been one of the most popular Shonen Jump titles for several years, even surpassing “One Piece” in average sales according to Oricon data released in May of this year, with a sales ratio from 2 to 1.

The impact of “Jujutsu Kaisen” has transcended the pages of manga, inspiring video games, a wide range of products and being recognized as the most 'in-demand' television series of any medium in 2023. The series has left an indelible mark on culture popular, and its end will mark the closing of an era for many of its followers.

For those who follow the story through the anime, you can look forward to the sequel to the second season of “Jujutsu Kaisen,” which was announced late last year. Meanwhile, manga fans are preparing to say goodbye to a series that has captured the imagination of readers around the world and that will undoubtedly leave Weekly Shonen Jump in trouble.
