This article includes spoilers for the “Oshi no Ko” manga. Reader
discretion is advised.
As previously reported, the “ Oshi
no Ko ” manga is currently in its final story arc. Having
produced and screened the film that reveals all the secrets behind Ai Hoshino
and her life as an idol , both Aqua and Ruby finally confront her
father, Hikaru Kamiki.
He reveals to them that Ai abandoned him
just when he needed her most, but a recording left by Ai ends up revealing that
she did love Hikaru, in her own way. Deeply affected
by this revelation, he admits that he will “do everything he can for Ai.”
However, Akane points out that it is impossible for Hikaru to have been
involved in all of the star murders, so there are still loose ends
involving one of B-Komachi's former members and Ai's former partner.

Meanwhile, the new B-Komachi has been touring Japan,
activities that have left Ruby exhausted, leading to a touching chapter where
she spends time with Aqua. The calm before the storm, don't you think?
Well, fans of the franchise, already knowing the style of the author Aka
Akasaka, had the same impression.
The next chapter, Chapter 158, will be published on
August 21 in Weekly Young Jump magazine, but it has already been leaked to the
Internet as always. This new chapter has left a shocking revelation
that surprised more than one, as it shows in its closing that Ruby Hoshino will
be stabbed in the same way as her mother : opening the door blindly
without checking who she is.

Although, if we remember well the beginning of this
popular story, it turns out that Ruby was in another room when Ai Hoshino was
stabbed, which would explain why she made the same mistake as her mother. Now,
the leaks are in the lousiest quality imaginable, but apparently Fuyuko Niino,
the suspicious ex-B-Komachi member, discovered Ruby's potential and leaked her
information to make it easier for the killer to find her.

Little is known about what will happen next in “Oshi
no Ko”, although many assume that Aqua will use her previous medical
knowledge (that is, from her past life) to save her loved
one's life this time. Now that Akasaka is reusing the same element
that made the work popular in the beginning, will it have the same impact as it
did then?
- « May
God forgive me for saying this in our church, but this is good. It will be
a great way for Aqua to realize that Ruby is the most important person in
her life. She will probably use her medical knowledge to save her.
Something tells me that this will be a great milestone for our ship to
sail even further .
- « I
doubt Ruby is going to die. In the first episode we had two previews: one
with the twins in idol uniforms and another with them on a talk show.
Chapter 152 showed that Aka remembered the trailers from volume one. I
think we will see the scenes from the first chapter in the near future.
Ruby was fine during the events of the first chapter. Nothing to worry
about ».
- « As
for the stabbing itself, this is a blessing in disguise. First, this is a
perfect opportunity for Aqua to redeem herself by saving Sarina (we've
been focusing a lot on her career as a doctor lately) and for her to
realize that she loves Ruby romantically. Secondly, this whole situation
gave me validation and showed how important Ruby is. Also, some Kana fans
were wrong .
- « Then,
Ruby was stabbed. I hope Aqua does something, I don't want to see her
suffer and him not do anything about it. It would be worse if Kana's fans
made this about her somehow, because they always do that. Honestly, Ruby
has already suffered so much, she deserves it the least. It's unfair. I
hope everything is fine and that Aqua will pay more attention to Sarina
from now on . »
- « My
ideal scenario was that Aqua went to Kana's graduation focused on seeing
only her, but her feelings would make Ruby walk away, but with this, any
method that helps us win is fine. However, I fear that they will postpone
the decision or that it will be conditional on the long term, which could
give us a defeat. Now I hope that Ruby is out of danger and that her
condition does not determine Kana's rejection. Wouldn't it be great if
Aqua decides to spend Christmas with her, either in the hospital or at
home recovering from her?
- « My
problem is with the rhythm. Aka is doing this now because of the parallels
with Sayahime and Touki, and because Sarina's death is supposed to be
animated this anime season. We should take at least 1 or 2 chapters to
build the stabbing scene. Not having Ruby be affectionate with Aqua in one
episode and immediately get stabbed in the next? What kind of “go from one
extreme to the other” situation is this? This goes beyond the saying “it
quickly scaled from 0 to 100. ”
- « This
was the most obvious thing that could happen. She had made a pass at Aqua
studying surgery and Ruby saying “I'm with someone I trust with my life.”
Too bad Aqua wasn't the first person to penetrate Ruby ."
- « But
in terms of manga logic, what do you guys think? Personally I think Ruby
won't die or maybe she's 50/50 ."
- « They
probably couldn't know that. It could be a nightmare Aqua is having. Since
they may not have published all the pages of the chapter, I highly doubt
that Ruby was stabbed .
- " My
hopes are that Aqua takes the stab instead of Ruby after realizing she's
too afraid of losing Sarina/Ruby again ."
