This
Thursday, the official website of the anime Mistress Kanan is
Devilishly Easy (Kanan-sama wa Akumade Choroi), an adaptation
of the nonoc manga, revealed the main voice actors and
presented a new promotional image for the series, generating
great expectation among fans of the romantic and comic genre.
The
talented Aoi Koga, known for her role as Kaguya in
Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, will play the protagonist Kanan Takakiyo.
For his part, Seiichiro Yamashita, who played Cid in The
Eminence in Shadow, will take on the role of Yoji Kugi. The
series is being produced by the KAI studio and is
scheduled to premiere in 2026 in Japan.
A
romantic comedy with a demonic flavor
The Kanan-sama
wa Akumade Choroi manga has been published since June 2022 in Kodansha's Weekly
Shonen Magazine. It currently has nine compilation volumes and
the tenth will be released on July 16, 2025.
The story
revolves around Kanan, a demon known as the "Gourmet
Devil," who descends into the human world with the goal of
devouring sweet young souls. His first target is student Yoji Kugi,
to whom he announces, "It's a high honor to be devoured by me. Be
thankful, you inferior creature."
But,
unexpectedly, everything takes a turn when they both end up signing a
romantic contract. For Kanan, who has lived thousands of years without
experiencing love, this new adventure is completely unknown... and exciting!
