Good! Kodansha's Afternoon revealed in its
August issue that renowned mangaka TNSK will release a new
opus titled Torimatorimasu. The manga will premiere in the next
issue of the magazine, which will go on sale on August 7 (local
date in Japan, 01:00 on August 7 in Spain).
A
mysterious summer deep in the mountains
Torimatorimasu introduces us to Jun,
a young woman who moves with her father, a doctor, to a clinic located in a
remote mountain village. What initially seemed like a promising summer soon
takes an unsettling turn when Jun starts hearing terrifying rumors
about the clinic. The situation becomes even stranger when they find
an old videotape with mysterious content.
With this
premise full of intrigue and supernatural elements, TNSK's new
project promises to move away from the tone of his previous works to explore a
darker and more immersive facet.
TNSK's
return after the closure of My Master Has No Tail
TNSK is widely known for having created the manga My Master Has No Tail (Uchi no Shishō wa Shippo ga Nai), also published on Good! Afternoon from January 2019 until completion in January 2024. The work concluded with a total of 12 compilation volumes, the last one being published in February 2024.
The
popularity of the series was such that in 2022 it inspired an
anime adaptation broadcast by HIDIVE. In parallel, Kodansha
USA was in charge of publishing the digital version in English,
culminating in the release of the final volume in September 2024.
With Torimatorimasu,
TNSK inaugurates a new creative stage, this time focused on rural mystery and
psychological suspense. Undoubtedly, it will be a series to follow closely by
manga lovers who are looking for stories that challenge reality from the
everyday.
