After living in an orphanage for much of his life following the death of his mother, he comes to live at the Amagami Shrine, where the head priests ask him to marry one of his three granddaughters. Uryuu and the Amagami sisters also have to face various problems, such as the danger of closing the shrine due to financial issues.
