Hige wo Soru Soshite Joshikousei wo Hirou light novels exceed 700,000 copies in circulation

It was announced that the series of light novels written by Booota and illustrated by Shimesaba, Hige wo Soru Soshite Joshikousei wo Hirou have exceeded 700,000 copies in circulation.


The amount includes both the volume releases of the light novels and the manga adaptation that is published in the Kadokawa magazine Monthly Shonen Ace magazine by Imaru Adachi from November 2018. The publisher will publish the third compilation volume. next May 26 in Japan.

Furthermore, Booota began publishing the light novels with illustrations of Shimesaba through the Kneakawa publisher's Sneaker Bunko imprint in February 2018. A total of three volumes have been published to date and the fourth volume is slated for release. to be released on August 1. The work confirmed an adaptation to the anime in December 2019, but has not revealed new details about it.

Synopsis of Hige wo Soru Soshite Joshikousei wo Hirou

The story begins when the 26-year-old man, Yoshida, a company employee, meets a high school girl on his way home after a binge. Yoshida's love interest had turned him down that same day after nearly five years of closeness, and he had decided to drown his sorrows in alcohol.

Sayo, the high school girl who ran away from home, offers to sleep with him in exchange for allowing him to stay at home. Yoshida refuses at first, but will eventually let her stay.
