Kimetsu no Yaiba dominates weekly sales again with its recent volume

According to the weekly sales report released by Oricon, the 20th compilation volume of Koyoharu Gotouge's manga Kimetsu no Yaiba has sold a total of 1,086,000 copies of the regular edition and 904,000 of the special edition to date.


With these amounts the series has once again monopolized the first two positions of the top sales. In addition, the copies in circulation have already exceeded 60,027 million.

For her part, Gotouge began publishing the manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in February 2016 and finished it on May 18, 2020. The publisher published the twentieth compilation volume on May 13.

The play inspired a 26-episode anime adaptation released in April 2019, and produced by Ufotable Studios. Additionally, an animated film is confirmed, which will adapt the "Infinity Train Arc" and will be released on October 16.

Synopsis of Kimetsu no Yaiba

In the Taisho era in Japan, Tanjiro Kamado is a kind and intelligent boy who lives with his family in the mountains. Tanjiro has become the head of his family after his father's death, making constant trips to the village at the foot of the mountain to sell firewood and charcoal.

However, his life changes when one day, when he returns home after spending a night away, he discovers that his family has been killed by a demon. Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko are the only survivors now, but she has been turned into a demon, although surprisingly she still shows emotions and seems to have a sense of reason.

After an encounter with Giyuu Tomioka, a demon hunter; Tanjiro decides to become a demon hunter to hunt down his family's killer and find a way to return Nezuko to normal.
