Through the official website for the Love Live! Multimedia franchise The production staff as well as the designs and names of the characters who starred in their new animated project were revealed.
The names of the protagonists, from left to right are: Chisato Arashi, Sumire Heanna, Kanon Shibuya, Tan Kuku and Ren Hazuki.
The project will be spearheaded by renowned creative collective Hajime Yatate. The original concept of the project is the idea of Sakurako Kimino. Naohiko Kyogoku, who previously was in charge of directing the animated project Love Live! School Idol Music will direct the series at Sunrise Studios.
Jukki Hanada (Love Live! Sunshine !!) will be in charge of writing the scripts. On the other hand, Atsushi Saito (Black Fox) will be in charge of designing the characters. Yoshiaki Fujisawa also returns from the first animated project as a composer for music.
The franchise had scheduled a round of auditions to give life to one of the protagonists of the series on March 12, but they had to be postponed due to the pandemic situation in Japan. In these auditions only single women from 15 to 22 years old could participate and it was completely forbidden for the candidates to be affiliated with any label or a talent agency.
Previously, the franchise had announced the animated adaptation for its Love Live! Project. Nijigasaki Gakuen School Idol Dōkōkai which will be released during this 2020.
