Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii manga ends

In this year's combined issue # 12- # 13 of Hana to Yume magazine from Hakusensha, the final chapter of the manga published and illustrated by Dai Shiina, Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii was published.


The work reported more than 2.8 million copies in circulation, and Shiina began publishing the manga from two one-shots published in 2009 and 2011 in the aforementioned magazine. Subsequently, the author began serializing the manga in 2012. The publisher will publish the twenty-fourth and penultimate compilation volume on May 25.

The manga inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by Pierrot Studios, directed by Hajime Kamegaki and scripts written by Shinzou Fujita, and released in April 2014.

Synopsis of Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii

The story centers on Nike, the determined princess of the Duchy Rain who has a mysterious power: she can control the rain. After losing a stone, paper, or scissors game to her older sisters, she is forced to marry the Sun Kingdom king, Livius I. Livius, who conquered the world in just three years and who is known as the "King Terrible".

However, when Nike first meets him, he realizes he is a younger boy than she is. Livius asks Nike to invoke the rain, and when she refuses, she is imprisoned. The story centers on these two characters, initially forcibly married but who will eventually build a relationship.
