The author of the manga Jashin-chan Dropkick, Yukiwo, published through his Twitter account that "it will definitely make a third season possible in the future", referring to the anime adaptation of the manga. Yukiwo thanked his fans for watching the second season, which recently ended its television broadcast, and asked to continue supporting the franchise.
Yukiwo has published the manga on the Flex Comix publisher's Comic Meteor website since April 2012. The publisher published the fourteenth compilation volume of the manga on April 11.

The play inspired a twelve episode anime adaptation produced by Nomad Studios, directed by Hikaru Sato and scripts written by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu and Momoko Murakami, released in July 2018. A second season is broadcast on Japanese television, with the same production team, since last April 6.

Jashin-chan Dropkick Synopsis

The story centers on Yurine Hanazono, a college student who summons Jashin-chan, a demon from the underworld. Now they must live together in an apartment in the Jinbouchou district in Tokyo. If Yurine dies, Jashin-chan will be free to go back to hell, so he is constantly trying to murder her.
