Shokugeki no Souma series will have a special panel at Anime Expo Lite

The company Warner Bros. Japan announced that the virtual event Anime Expo Lite, to be held on July 3-4 in Japan, will have an anime panel titled "Stay Connected with Anime". This panel will feature special guests, a pre-recorded segment, and a question and answer session for the Shokugeki no Souma series.

The panel will be broadcast through the YouTube and Twitch channel of the Anime Expo event next Friday, July 3 at 7:00 p.m. (Pacific Time). Guests at the event include Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (voiced by Souma Yukihira), and series director Yoshitomo Yonetani. Both will be answering questions pre-uploaded by fans live, and they will also be actively answering questions on Twitter with the hashtag # foodwars_ax20, between June 22-28.

The presentation will also feature a pre-recorded segment including voice actors Yoshitsugu Matsuoka and Jun Fukuyama (voiced by Asahi Saiba) facing off in a culinary battle, with Minami Takahashi (voiced by Megumi Tadokoro) as judge.

On the other hand, the anime Shokugeki no Souma: Gou no Sara, the fifth season of the anime adaptation of the manga written by Yuuto Tsukuda and illustrated by Shun Saeki, Shokugeki no Souma, will restart its broadcast from the first episode on July 3 , after suspending the broadcast of new episodes in April due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on production.

Synopsis of Shokugeki no Souma

Souma works with her father in the family restaurant. The young man dreams of being a better chef than his father. However, when he decides to close the restaurant to go to one of the best restaurants in Europe, he also faces a challenge: to be the best student at Tootsuki, the best private cooking school in all of Japan. Thereafter, Sōma will have to put all the meat on the spit to graduate from one of the most demanding and competitive institutions in the world.
