In the eighth edition of this year's Bessatsu Margaret magazine by Shueiosha publishers, it was announced that the sixth chapter of the spin-off manga written and illustrated by Karuho Shiina, Kimi ni Todoke Bangaihen ~ Unmei no Hito ~, will be published in the next edition of the magazine, on August 11. This chapter will focus on Kurumi, while spending a night in Eiji's room.

The first spin-off chapter of the manga was published in April 2018 and had 50 pages, since then, it has been publishing new chapters of this series, always irregularly. On the other hand, Shiina started publishing the Kimi ni Todoke manga in the aforementioned magazine in 2006, and finished it in November 2017, after the publisher compiled the story in 30 volumes.

The work inspired a 38-episode anime adaptation produced by Production I.G studios, directed by Hiro Kaburaki and scripts written by Tomoko Konparu, released in October 2009.

Synopsis of Kimi ni Todoke

The manga tells the story of Sawako Kuronuma, nicknamed Sadako (after the girl in the movie “El Aro”) due to her long black hair and light skin. The popular boy Shota Kazahaya begins a friendship with her, through which a romance blossoms.
