Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai!: Girl goes viral in Japan for dressing up as Uzaki

Japan is a rather unpredictable place, where instead of fueling controversy, trends mostly focus on spreading curiosities found on social networks. Earlier this month, a post went viral that shared photos of a girl wearing the unmistakable T-shirt of Hana Uzaki, the protagonist of Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai! (Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!). It is worth noting that "SUGOI DEKAI" is a Japanese expression that translates as "How big!", and is a reference associated with the enormous size of Uzaki-chan's breasts, now faithfully represented in real life.

The publication did not compile two photographs found on networks, but were taken by the person behind the account. Upon reviewing her profile, it becomes evident that she usually uploads this type of content, cosplaying and offering more daring photographs through other platforms such as OnlyFans. The account thanked the huge spread given to the post. "Thank you so much for all your retweets and favorites! ♡," she later wrote.

On the other hand, Take started publishing the manga through Niconico Seiga's Dra Dra Sharp portal since December 2017, while Fujimi Shobo Publishing House has been publishing its compilation volumes. The publisher released the fourth compilation volume last February 7, followed by the fifth last July 9 in Japan.

The work inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by ENGI Studios, under the direction of Kazuya Miura and scripts written by Takashi Aoshima, released in July 2020. The production of a second season is confirmed, but a premiere date has not been revealed.

Synopsis of Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai!

At the beginning of her freshman year in college, Hana Uzaki meets Shinichi Sakurai, a senior who was in the same club as her during her high school days. However, to her surprise, the once active senior has ended up becoming a "loner" student, who prefers to spend his free time in peace and quiet.

Uzaki does everything she can to keep Sakurai from being "lonely," from convincing him to go to the movies to his part-time workplace. While Sakurai finds her irritating and tedious, he still goes along with Uzaki's antics and pranks, even if he knows that her cheerful personality will only get the two of them into various comical situations.

Still, as the days go by, their relationship only improves, to the point where people around them misunderstand them as a couple. In any case, whenever Uzaki wants to hang out with his senior, a fun and adorable craziness is sure to follow!
