Oshi no Ko manga surpasses one million copies in circulation

In its most recent chapter, the manga written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, Oshi no Ko, was reported to have surpassed one million cumulative circulating copies with only three compilation volumes published. The count also includes digital copies sold through platforms in Japan.


Akasaka and Yokoyari began publishing the manga in Shueisha publisher's Weekly Young Jump magazine in April 2020. The publisher published the second compiled volume in October 2020, followed by the third in February 2021 in Japan. Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) writes it while Mengo Yokoyari (Kuzu no Honkai) illustrates it.

Synopsis of Oshi no Ko

16-year-old Ai Hoshino is a talented and beautiful idol who is adored by her fans.
