Komi-san wa, Komyushou desu manga surpasses 5.5 million copies in circulation

 In the headline of the twenty-second compilation volume of the manga written and illustrated by Tomohito Oda , Komi-san wa, Komyushou desu ( Komi Can't Communicate ), it was announced that the literary franchise has surpassed 5.5 million cumulative copies in circulation. This volume will be put on sale next August 18 in Japan by the Shogakukan publishing house .


The press release also revealed the cover of the special package that includes the first four compilation volumes of the work and will also be released on August 18 in Japan. This pack celebrates the upcoming animated adaptation of the project and will include “ new covers for each volume, with different illustrations, ” as well as special illustrations and other additional content.


For his part, Oda began publishing the manga in May 2016 through Shogakukan publisher's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine . The publisher published the 20th compiled volume in February 2021, followed by the 21st in May 2021 in Japan. The work already has more than 5.2 million copies in circulation.

The play is inspiring an anime adaptation produced by OLM Studios , under the direction of Kazuki Kawagoe ( Beyblade Burst God, Beyblade Burst GT ) and scripts written by Deko Akao ( 3D Kanojo: Real Girl, Akagami no Shirayuki-hime, Hige wo Soru. Soshite Joshikousei wo Hirou, Nazo no Kanojo X ), scheduled to premiere on October 6 in Japan.
