The executive producer of the animated series The Simpsons , Matt Selman , revealed during the San Diego Comic-Con event that the next edition of the Treehouse of Horror special will include a parody of the popular Death Note anime franchise . These episodes are known as " La Casita del Terror " in Latin America, and are broadcast on the occasion of Halloween.
Previously, other media have already reported that the series The Simpsons will broadcast a double dose of episodes of " Treehouse of Horror " in the upcoming thirty-fourth season. It is the first time in the history of the series that two episodes with the mark “ Treehouse of Horror ” have aired on the same Halloween. The first episode will take the traditional form of three different stories, but an It parody will be the first time this special has focused on a single story for its entire half hour.
As for the three-part “ Treehouse of Horror ,” one of this year's segments will be a riff on the popular Death Note anime series . An entirely different studio will handle the animation, as The Simpsons is set to be made into a full-fledged anime , which Selman described as: " An incredibly authentic Simpsons anime. So I think people are going to get excited about that. We're not trying to change and make anime, it's an incredibly rich and diverse genre in itself. We're not trying to do twenty shows and squeeze them all into six minutes. It's just a very dear thing, this Death Note series ».
