At the MAPPA Stage 2023 event , it was announced that the highly anticipated new original film from director Mari Okada , Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Kojo ( Alice and Therese's Illusory Factory ), will open in theaters in Japan on September 15. It should be remembered that this feature film will be produced by MAPPA studios and also with some members who accompanied Okada during the production of his first work De ella Maquia de ella: When the Promised Flower Blooms ( Sayonara no Asa ni Yakusoku no Hana wo Kazarou ).

Sinopsis of Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Kojo
The story centers on Masamune, a third-year high school student, who lives in a town where time has stopped due to a sudden explosion at a steel factory that has sealed off all exits from the town. Hoping to one day return to normality, the town's residents are barred from making any changes and lead bleak daily lives. One day, Masamune's enigmatic classmate Atsumi guides him to the fifth furnace of the steel mill, where they meet a wild and mysterious girl who cannot speak. The meeting of Masamune and these two girls upsets the balance of the world. The uncontrollable impulse of love of the boys and girls who are tired of their everyday life starts to destroy the world.
