An employee of a company in Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture in Japan, has been arrested for carrying dakimakuras (hugging pillows) with erotic illustrations of anime characters on a road used by minors. Police have launched an investigation to determine whether this individual has committed similar offenses in the past, as previous incidents of a similar nature have been reported.
The suspect, identified as 46-year-old Yuki Awamura , was detained for violating the Hiroshima Prefectural Nuisance Prevention Ordinance. According to police authorities, Awamura is suspected of deliberately placing two obscene pillowcases and a mouse pad with a female anime character printed on it on his way to school near the Takanishi ward of Fukuyama city . These acts would have been carried out on three different occasions since September of last year.
The police managed to identify the suspect by tracking the purchase of these items on a specialized website in Japan. As a result of this discovery, he was arrested. In addition, it has been revealed that several similar incidents had been recorded on Onomichi school routes, prompting authorities to investigate a possible connection to the current case.
