On the official site
for the anime adaptation of the light novels written by Morita Kisetsu and
illustrated by Benio , “ Slime
Taoshite 300-nen, Shiranai Uchi ni Level Max ni Nattemashita ( I've
Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level )”, it was
announced that the second season of the project is scheduled to
premiere in 2025 in Japan . The statement also indicated that the
production team changes both studio, director, screenwriter and character
designer.
The first season of
twelve episodes aired during the Spring-2021 season (April-June) and
had a total of twelve episodes. For their part, Morita Kisetsu and Benio began
publishing the light novels through the publisher SB Creative in
2016. A manga adaptation by Shiba has been published on the Gangan
Online website of the publisher Square Enix since
June 2017.
Sinopsis
of Slime Taoshite 300-nen, Shiranai Uchi ni Level Max ni Nattemashita
The very
ordinary office worker Azusa Aizawa suddenly dies from exhaustion. Due to this
reason, she decides to live a quiet life in the mountains as an immortal witch
in a 17-year-old body, after being reincarnated. Her main source of resources
comes from defeating the slimes that abound in the area to obtain magic stones,
which she sells to the Guild in town. On top of that, she often creates
medicinal herbs. All of the above earns her the name “Witch of the Mountains”,
and she lives to this day receiving respect and trust from people. However,
after defeating slimes for over 300 years, her experience has accumulated so
much that she reached level 99, making her the most powerful witch in the
entire world.
