A press release reported that the popular manga
written and illustrated by Mashiro , “ My
Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999 ( Yamada-kun to Lv999
no Koi wo Suru )”, will go into indefinite suspension due to the
author's health problems. . The publisher in charge will inform when a
resumption date for the work is decided.
It should be noted that this manga had already been
on hiatus since mid-February of this year, but this suspension was “partially
defined” until such time as the author recovered enough to resume the work in
the short term. Apparently this goal was not achieved, so it now
becomes an “indefinite suspension” because the editors have no idea when the
work could resume.
For her part, Mashiro began publishing the manga
through the Ganma! service. from the Kadokawa publishing
house in March 2019, where it is still in serialization. The work inspired a
thirteen-episode anime adaptation produced by Madhouse studios
and released in the Spring-2023 period (April-June) ,
achieving excellent reviews on MyAnimeList.

After her boyfriend breaks up with her
for another girl, college student Akane Kinoshita is left with a broken heart
and the memories he left behind. Loading up Forest of Savior, the MMO they used
to play together, she devises a plan to get revenge on her ex-boyfriend through
an in-game event. In the process, she runs into someone unexpected: Akito
Yamada, a gaming legend who happens to be her guildmate.
Desperate for support, Akane convinces
the antisocial Yamada to help her with her plan and lend her a shoulder to cry
on. The differences between Akane and Yamada quickly become apparent as they
spend time together, though they can't help but notice each other's inner
qualities. As the two gain more experience with each other, in and out of the
game, their shy knowledge may level up in ways neither of them expect.
