The
official website for the anime series Reborn as a Vending
Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon ( Jidōhanbaiki ni
Umarekawatta Ore wa Meikyū ni Samayō ) announced that singer Aina
Aiba will perform the ending theme song for the anime's second
season . The song will be titled "Boku Dake no
Chiheisen" (A Horizon Just for Me).
The
premiere is scheduled for July 2025 and will air on Japanese
channels such as Tokyo MX and BS NTV , among
others. Aiba, known for her work on BanG Dream! , will bring a
new emotional dimension to the quirky isekai.
A
familiar cast and changes in direction
Voice
actors Jun Fukuyama and Kaede Hondo return to
play Hakkon (Boxxo) and Lammis ,
respectively. However, the series will be directed by Takashi Yamamoto ,
who will replace Noriaki Akitaya in this new installment, with
production handled by Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ .
Other key
returning staff members include Tatsuya Takahashi as main
scriptwriter, Takahiro Sakai as character designer
adapting Yūki Hagure 's original art , and Naoki
Yamauchi , who returns as character designer and animation director.
An
isekai as absurd as it is endearing
The first
season of the anime premiered in July 2023 and streamed
on Crunchyroll with an English dub included. The story adapts
the light novels written by Hirukuma , where an ordinary man
dies tragically and is reborn... as a vending machine in a
dungeon full of monsters!
Unable to
move or speak, Boxxo must figure out how to survive and help those around him,
especially Lammis, a young woman of great physical strength. With a unique
blend of comedy, action, and heart, the series has won over an audience looking
for something different in the isekai genre.
A
project with history and future
The
original novels were published by Kadokawa between 2016
and 2017 , with illustrations by Itsuwa Katō . The
manga, by Kunieda , currently runs in Monthly Comic
Dengeki Daioh , and is being released digitally simultaneously in
English by Yen Press .
With this
new season and the announcement of the ending theme song, everything indicates
that Reborn as a Vending Machine will continue to be one of
the most unexpectedly charming titles on the current anime scene.
