During
the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, held on June
12, the Adult Swim network confirmed that the hit
anime Ninja Kamui will have two additional seasons.
Along with the announcement, a new promotional image for the
second season was revealed, which will be titled Ninja Kamui: Red
Vendetta.
The
production will once again be in charge of Sola Entertainment,
although no release dates or additional details about the
technical team have been revealed at the moment.
A
phenomenon of action and revenge
The first
season of Ninja Kamui was directed by Sunghoo
Park (known as Jujutsu Kaisen) at E&H
Production and Sola Entertainment studios. The series
originally debuted in February 2024 through Adult Swim, with a
total of 13 episodes, and later had its television premiere in
Japan in July 2024, through the Tokyo MX channel.
Thanks to
its striking visual style and story full of violence and intense emotions, the
series won the award for "Best Original Anime" at
the 2025 Anime Awards.
What is
Ninja Kamui about?
According
to its description on the Max platform, the story revolves
around an ex-ninja who seeks to avenge the death of
his wife and son. In his mission for justice, he ends up collaborating
with FBI agents who are also investigating the brutal murder.
What begins as a personal hunt turns into an all-out war against his former
clan and a hidden conspiracy.
With two
new seasons on the way and an increasingly strong fan base, Ninja Kamui is
positioned as one of the most promising action franchises of recent years.
