The
long-awaited film KING OF PRISM: Your Endless Call continues
to generate anticipation among fans, this time thanks to a special
collection of supporting illustrations created by renowned mangakas.
Among the most recent names that have joined the initiative are TSURUMAIKADA, author
of Medalist, and Maedakun, creator of Puniru is
a Kawaii Slime, both works that have been adapted into anime.
These
artists join a growing list of illustrators who show their support for the
franchise with exclusive art. Authors such as Sanada Tsuzuru (The
Feelings of a Doujin Woman), Tzusui (Hadakaikkan!
Tsuzui-san), Liberum (Soushi Souai), Machiko
Naminiwa (Princess Mom) and Hijiki Isoflavone (Phantom
of the Idol).
A
franchise that has been shining for years
KING OF
PRISM was born
as a spin-off of Pretty Rhythm: RainbowLive, the third installment
in the Pretty Series franchise, and debuted with its first
film in January 2016. Since then, he has expanded his universe with multiple
feature films and a television series, consolidating himself as a phenomenon
among fans of the idol genre.
Notable
installments include KING OF PRISM: Pride the Hero (June
2017), KING OF PRISM: Shiny Seven Stars (which screened in
theaters from March to May 2019 and was later adapted into a 12-episode series
between April and July 2019), KING OF PRISM ALL STARS - Prism Show☆Best 10 - (January 2020) and most recently KING
OF PRISM -Dramatic PRISM.1-, launched in August 2024.

the KING OF PRISM anime about?
The Crunchyroll platform
broadcasts the series KING OF PRISM: Shiny Seven Stars and
describes it like this: After participating in the Prism King Cup representing
Edel Rose, Ichijo Shin decides to enter the high school division of Kakyoin
Academy to become a true Prism Star. Koji, Hiro and Kazuki, members of the
group Over The Rainbow, become independent to found their own agency.
Meanwhile, Schwarz Rose frontman Norizuki Jin launches the PRISM.1 event with
the aim of dethroning the current Prism King, kicking off a new competition
between Edel Rose and Schwarz Rose.
With the
release of Your Endless Call underway, the supporting
illustrations of these talented mangakas not only serve as a promotion, but as
a tribute to a franchise that continues to shine brightly on the Japanese anime
stage.
