The
official accounts of The Angel Next Door anime have revealed
the second of twelve monthly visuals based on the signs of the zodiac, this
time with Mahiru representing Cancer, showing a slightly impatient
expression.
Currently
in production, the second season of this popular series is
scheduled to premiere in April 2026. The project No.9 studio
will once again be in charge of the animation.

For this
new stage, Chihiro Kumano takes the position of director,
replacing Lihua Wang. The composer of the series will once again be Keiichiro
Ochi (The Quintessential Quintuplets), while Takayuki
Noguchi (Higehiro) returns as character designer.
A story
of romance and closeness
Crunchyroll,
which streamed the first season since January 2023, gives us a sneak peek at
the plot: To thank you for a kind gesture, Mahiru cooks and cleans for her
messy neighbor Amane. But what began as a simple act of gratitude transforms
into a deeper bond. This is the sweet story of a romance between a boy and the
girl next door.
