The second season on air

The new season premiered on July 6, 2025 at 00:00 (Japan time), which corresponds to July 5 at 17:00 (Spanish time), through the Tokyo MX, BS11, Tochigi TV and Gunma TV channels. Currently, Crunchyroll simulcasts the anime for the West.

A success that transcends anime

Fukuda's manga had already inspired an anime adaptation in January 2022, consisting of 12 episodes. Back then, Funimation streamed both the subtitled version and the English dub. In addition, a live-action series based on the work was released in Japan in October 2024.

About the original story

The plot follows Wakana Gojō, a young man who, after being rejected in his childhood for his fondness for traditional dolls, lives in isolation until he meets the extroverted Marin Kitagawa. Marin discovers his talent for sewing and convinces him to join his secret passion: cosplay. From there, the two begin a unique relationship that combines friendship, self-improvement and creativity.

Manga Status

The manga has been published in Square Enix's Young Gangan magazine since January 2018. Her most recent arc, "Tenmei," began in September 2023 under a monthly format. The main work officially concluded on March 21, 2025, although the publication of an additional chapter and an epilogue was confirmed.

Volume 15 was released in Japan on July 25, while the English edition moves forward with volume 14 scheduled for October 21.
