A
success that transcends anime
Fukuda's
manga had already inspired an anime adaptation in January 2022, consisting
of 12 episodes. Back then, Funimation streamed
both the subtitled version and the English dub. In addition, a live-action
series based on the work was released in Japan in October 2024.
About
the original story
The plot
follows Wakana Gojō, a young man who, after being rejected in his
childhood for his fondness for traditional dolls, lives in isolation until he
meets the extroverted Marin Kitagawa. Marin discovers his talent
for sewing and convinces him to join his secret passion: cosplay. From there,
the two begin a unique relationship that combines friendship, self-improvement
and creativity.
