The
official site of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze
Vengeance, the new 20th anniversary project of the Magical Girl
Lyrical Nanoha franchise, presented a teaser with key visual and
confirmed its premiere in 2026. The anime will be produced by Seven
Arcs.
The creator
of the franchise, Masaki Tsuzuki, is credited as responsible for
the original story and screenwriter. The direction will be in charge of Takayuki
Hamana, who returns after his work on Reflection and Detonation. Issei
Aragaki will serve as character designer and chief animation director,
while Shuichi Kawakami is recognized for original character
design.

In addition
to the anime, the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS manga
was released on Kodansha's Suiyobi no Sirius service
on April 16. Publish new chapters on the first and third Wednesday
of each month. The story centers on 13-year-old Nanoha Takamachi,
who continues to work as a magician to help others. Tsuzuki participates in the
original concept, while Shuichi Kawakami is in charge of the
art.
Other
anniversary projects
The 20th anniversary celebrations also include Lyrical Selection, a television version of the films Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 1st (2010) and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha the Movie 2nd A's (2012), which began airing in October 2024.
History
of the franchise
The saga
was born in 2004 with a 13-episode anime. Since then, it has
featured four additional series, including ViVid in 2015 and
the ViVid spin-off Strike! in 2016. Films such
as Reflection (2017) and Detonation (2018)
were also produced. The franchise expanded with manga, novels and drama albums,
consolidating itself as one of the most relevant of its genre.
