The strict
monitor and the rebellious girl will clash in the upcoming season. The official
website for the Ponkotsu anime Fuuki Iin to Skirt-take ga Futekisetsu
na JK no Hanashi (The Klutzy Class Monitor and the Girl with the
Short Skirt) released its first promotional video on Sunday, confirming
that the series will premiere in April.
The
production is in charge of the ZERO-G studio, known for
comedies such as Grand Blue Dreaming. Along with the announcement,
the visual teaser and the names of the actors who will give life to the
protagonist couple of this story, affectionately nicknamed by fans as
"PonSuka", were revealed.

is directed by Daiji Iwanaga, with series composition overseen by
veteran Masahiro Yokotani (Re:Zero, Free!).
Character design and lead animation direction are the responsibility of Yo
Himuro.

"Sakuradaimon is a very serious student who serves on the disciplinary
committee, but he is so serious that he often ends up going in strange
directions, so he could be quite an eccentric character. When playing it, I try
not to think too much about the details and always try to maintain a good
tension... Please look forward to it!"
Riko Akechi (Voice of Poem Kohinata):
"I'm Riko Akechi, playing the role of Poem Kohinata! Poem-chan is a bit
clumsy, but I think that fundamentally she is a very honest girl and true to
her feelings. I gave it my all in my performance, hoping that the central
tenderness within it would reach everyone. During the voice recording sessions,
there were many moments that made me laugh uncontrollably."
About
Ponkotsu Fuuki Iin to Skirt-take ga Futekisetsu na JK no Hanashi
The
original work is a manga created by Takuma Yokota, serialized
in Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine since
March 2019, accumulating 19 volumes to date.
The story
follows Sakuradaimon, a disciplinarian who checks students'
appearance each morning, and Poem, a girl who is constantly stopped
for wearing her skirt too short. However, during a remedial class, Poem
discovers that this serious boy is actually totally inept at studies, starting
a relationship where opposites attract.
