Tanya
Degurechaff has been making us wait since 2021, and on July 8, 2026, the wait
is over. Saga of Tanya the Evil II (Youjo Senki season
two) confirms its premiere date along with the theme music, the new mini anime
that will accompany each episode and the first names of the cast that joins the
second season. Everything points to the return of the Devil of the Rhine not
coming halfway.
MYTH&ROID returns to take over the
opening, just as it did in the first season. The song is called "Why?
RED induction" and the group wrote, arranged and performed it.
The ending "Weiter! Weiter!" is once again in the
hands of Aoi Yuki in character as Tanya Degurechaff, with
lyrics by hotaru and music by Masayuki Nakano.
In addition
to the main anime, the second season will be accompanied by a mini anime
titled "Yojo Shenki 2" that will air immediately
after each episode and will be available on the official channel for two weeks.
This mini anime will focus on the new members of the Salamander
Kampfgruppe.

Production Team
The second
season arrives with a change in direction: Takayuki Yamamoto takes
the reins at the NUT studio, taking over from the director of
the first season. Kenta Ihara returns to write and oversee
scripts, and Yuji Hosogoe returns as character designer and
chief animation director.

Saga of
Tanya the Evil (Youjo Senki) is a light novel by Carlo Zen with illustrations
by Shinobu Shinotsuki that began publication in 2013 and is
already fourteen volumes long. Chika Tojo's manga adaptation
exceeds thirty-four volumes. The first season of the anime premiered in January
2017, followed by a theatrical film in February 2019. The story follows Tanya
Degurechaff, a child soldier who hides the mind of a calculating Japanese
ex-salaryman reincarnated in a world of war and alternate magic. Her ruthless
strategic intelligence and obsession with survival have made her one of the
most particular characters in the isekai genre, in a series where black humor
and military tactics coexist without asking anyone's permission.
