The group of actors Yoru no Ki reported through their social networks that actor Shu Wada passed away on April 23 due to the new Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), at the age of 81.
Wada was born in Kagoshima prefecture. After graduating from the Haiyuza Theater Company, he formed the actor group Yoru no Ki in 1980. The actor made an appearance in the drama series Katsu Kaishuu and Musashi Musashi produced and broadcast by NHK Taiga, as well as in the live-action series Nurse. not Oshigoto and Aibou, and in the movie Odoru Daisousasen THE MOVIE. Wada also participated as a voice actor in series such as Inazuman, Kikaider 01 and Himitsu Sentai Gorenger.
Shu Wada was the father of Gen Urobuchi, who is a member of the Nitroplus creative group. Urobuchi has composed the history of series like Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, Psycho-Pass and Rakuen Tsuihou. In addition, he also wrote the Fate / Zero series of novels and the story of visual novels such as Phantom of Inferno, Kikokugai: The Cyber Slayer, and Saya no Uta. Urobuchi's most recent works include the Thunderbolt Fantasy: Touriken Kouki series and the 3D anime CG OBSOLETE.
