The "2020 Evangelion Asuka Telecaster" model is primarily based on Asuka Langley Soryu's outfit. The body of the guitar features a gradient between orange and yellow, with black stripes behind and a neon painted pickguard. Additionally, the fretboard has the engraving “Unit-02”, hinting at the Evangelion Unit that Asuka manages.
Fender will include a certificate of originality that will include an illustration of Asuka holding the guitar. This illustration will be done by director Kazuya Tsurumaki, who has participated in the four films of the new project of the franchise.
About Rebuild of Evangelion
Studio Khara published the three films of the Rebuild of Evangelion project for free on its official YouTube channel on April 20, and will be available until April 30. Since the channel blocked the insertion of videos on external sites, the links can be consulted in the following note.
The movie Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0: Thrice Upon A Time is the latest installment of the project and was scheduled to be released on June 27 in Japan. However, due to the health situation that the country is going through, the decision was made to delay it indefinitely. The staff will announce the new release date as soon as it is decided.
