Love Live! Sunshine !!: Chika Takami promotes Numazu tea

The image that farmers union JA Nansun used to promote Chika Takami as a representative of Numazu's local food previously drew criticism, but that did not stop them. Recently, Chika starred in an illustration with Numazu tea in which the majestic Mount Fuji appears in the background, in a traditional drawing style.

According to the organization, local Numazu tea dates back to the mid-19th century, and was developed by samurai Ebara Soroku. Numazu tea was presented to the Imperial House of Japan three times, in 1983, 1996 and 2016.

For her part, Chika Takami is the protagonist of the anime Love Live! Sunshine !!, which is part of the project of the same name announced in February 2015. The series takes place in the city of Numazu, which has enjoyed a boost in local tourism since the premiere of the anime's first season in 2016. .
