The June issue of Kadokawa publisher Dengeki Maoh magazine announced that the Kaishaku duo manga Kannazuki no Miko will have a spin-off manga starting with the next issue of the magazine on May 27.
The Kaishaku duo began publishing the original manga in the Kadokawa magazine's Shonen Ace magazine in October 2004 and completed it in 2005. The publisher compiled the work in a total of two volumes.
This manga inspired a twelve episode anime adaptation produced by TNK studios under the direction of Tetsuya Yanagisawa, and released in October 2004.
For its part, Kaishaku is made up of artists Hitoshi Ota and Terumasa Shichinohe. Other works by this duo include Steel Angel Kurumi, Magical Nyan Nyan Taruto, UFO Princess Valkyrie, and Koishiro to Towa no Sora.
