The anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Mountain Pukuichi, Tamayomi has been broadcast since April 1, and is one of the series that has survived so far from a great wave of delays and suspensions that seems not to have end.

However, the fourth episode of the series aired on April 22 left a lot to be desired among fans of the series, given the infamous work of animation, character drawing and positioning, and of the sets, the latter almost conspicuous by their absence. .
However, the surprises did not end there, since the users who reported this terrible production work were, for some reason, only those who saw it through the Funimation platform (and consequently those who see it from illegal platforms, already some take the video and subtitles directly from there). It turns out that the terrestrial broadcast in Japan through the AT-X channel aired a completely different version of the episode.
In a gallery published on Imgur, a user compiled some frames from the two versions, always showing the one broadcast on television at the top and the one broadcast by Funimation below.
What the hell happened here? In the absence of a direct explanation from Funimation some fans began to expose their theories. The one that makes the most sense is that Funimation receives a “previous version” of the episode to be able to subtitle in advance, to later receive the “final version” and just add the subtitle file and be able to do the famous simulcast, which means broadcasting it from parallel to its transmission in Japan. However, when uploading the episode to their platform they confused the files and uploaded the WIP (short for Work in Progress, or simply the previous version).
Although Funimation has already uploaded the "final version" of the fourth episode, at least it has been clarified that the version that everyone criticized for the fourth episode of Tamayomi was not the official one, and it will remain as a funny story of a mistake made by a distributor.
