The live-action film of Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na! will be delayed

Through the website of the Japanese production company Toho, it was revealed that the premiere for the live-action film adaptation of the manga Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na! it will have to be postponed due to the state of emergency Japan is going through due to the COVID-19 virus. The new release date will be announced soon. The tape was slated to debut on May 15.


Cast and Staff
Umezawa, Saitō and Yamashita star in the live-action project as the characters Sayaka Kanamori, Midori Asakusa and Tsubame Mizusaki, respectively.


Tsutomu Hanabusa (3D Kanojo: Real Girl, Kakegurui, Asahinagu) is directing the film and the series.

For its part, Ōwara launched the manga Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na! in Shogakukan Publishing's Gekkan Spirits magazine in 2016. The manga was nominated for the 11th Taisho Manga Awards last year, and won the Bros. Comic Award in 2017. The manga inspired an anime adaptation by the director. Masaaki Yuasa and his study Science SARU, which premiered on the NHK General channel on January 5 and had twelve episodes.

Synopsis of Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na!

The story follows Midori, Tsubame, and Sayaka, an energetic trio of high school freshmen who gather at the Eizo-ken (Video Research Club) to make their anime dreams a reality. Midori is nervous about creating an anime on her own. She meets Tsubame, who seems to be a well-off girl, but really has a dream: to be a cheerleader. Sayidor, Midori's best friend, has a great sense of finances to carry out the project and joins the other two girls in search of their dreams.
