Dragon Quest: A Japanese User Presumes His Life-Size Slime

0
For more than 30 years, the Slime of the Dragon Quest franchise has led the forefront of enemies against potential heroes, serving as the first enemy players encounter at the beginning of many of the franchise installments. But he is too weak to be considered a threat, and his adorable appearance made him a mascot of the series, characterized by not maintaining the same human protagonists between each installment.

So great is Square Enix's love for the Slime, that a full line of themed products including teapots, salt and pepper shakers have been launched in the past. And for die-hard fans, a scale figure based on the character, 30 cm tall.

As a man of refined tastes, Japanese Twitter user @moritsuu is a proud owner of one of these figures. But where could such a monument to a Slime look? After some thought, Mori Michi decided that the most appropriate place would be in the same spaces that the Slime is found in in games, that is, in random locations outside.
"I got carried away by the excitement and bought the life-size Slime," Mori posted, "but the only way to put it is on the side of the road." Of course, not just any path would work, as Dragon Quest is a series of fantasy RPGs, so Michi grabbed her Slime and looked for spaces that radiate an atmosphere from the past.
In case the reader is interested in acquiring their own life-size figure of the Dragon Quest Slime, it can be purchased through the official Square Enix store (link), for a price of 6,600 yen (approximately $ 62).
