Through his Instagram account, user @ jdpp80 shared a special video produced by a user of the Bilibili video platform, recreating a battle scene from the Evangelion franchise using scale figures and video effects.
The video recreates the first meeting between Shinji Ikari and the EVA-01 unit, specifically using excerpts from the movie Evangelion 1.0: You Are (Not) Alone, the first from the Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy.
The original series premiered in Japan in October 1995, featuring 26 episodes written and directed by Hideaki Anno at Gainax Studios in collaboration with Tatsunoko Production. On the other hand, the movie Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0: Thrice Upon a Time, the last in the tetralogy of the new Evangelion project, was scheduled to be released on June 27 in Japan. However, due to the health situation the country is going through, the decision was made to delay it indefinitely. The new release date will be announced as soon as it is decided.
Additionally, Netflix acquired the distribution license for the original series and movies for the franchise, except for those for the Rebuild project. The first three films of the project were released in 2007, 2009 and 2012.
