The popular illustrator and character designers Ilya Kuvshinov (Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, Birthday Wonderland) will have a virtual exhibition through the VRChat platform between April 28 and May 31.
The exhibition is titled “Virtual VIVID” and will feature numerous works by the illustrator, including those featured in the “VIVID Ilya Kuvshinov Works Exhibition” held in Tokyo in November 2019.
The exhibition is being sponsored by Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd (DNP), and is being co-financed by Gugenka, a developer of virtual reality applications. In order to access the exhibition, the user obviously needs to have the devices to access the VRChat platform. The official site offers instructions to access the room in which it is taking place.
Users can also purchase products in physical form within the virtual exhibition, which they will receive through the virtual commerce site Fun’s Market Project.
For his part, Ilya Kuvshinov is a Russian illustrator who has earned more than 1.79 million followers on Instagram worldwide. The designer started his career in Japanese animation in 2017 and is currently based in Yokohama, Japan.
