Shinichi Sakamoto and Usamaru Furuya collaborate on one-shot manga

Author Shinichi Sakamoto (author of the Innocent Rouge manga) announced via his Twitter account that he is collaborating with author Usamaru Furuya in a one-shot manga that follows the adventures of a small immortal vampire who spends his life eternally alone.


Sakamoto and Furuya will offer the manga on a limited basis through the mail. The pair will announce the details of the manga and the distribution soon.

Sakamoto recently completed the publication of the manga Innocent Rouge in January 2020. The publisher Shueisha published the twelfth and final compilation volume on February 19. Sakamoto began publishing the Innocent manga in 2013, and the work later changed its name to Innocent Rouge when it moved the Weekly Young Jump magazine publication to the Grand Jump in 2015.

The original manga Innocent had a total of nine compilation volumes and was nominated for the 18th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2014, and was also nominated for the eighth edition of the Manga Taisho Awards in 2015.

For his part, Furuya's works include the manga Teiichi no Kuni, Ningen Shikkaku, Kanojo wo Mamoru 51 no Houhou, Genkaku Picasso and Bokura no Hikari Club.
