The One Piece manga will have another weeklong break

It was reported that Eiichiro Oda's manga One Piece will not publish a new chapter in this year's issue # 26 of Shueisha publisher Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, scheduled for June 1.

The statement did not inform whether the subsequent editions will have new chapters, so a new statement will be expected to clarify this situation. Previously, Oda had already announced the possibility of delays in publishing new chapters of the manga due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in Japan.

On the other hand, One Piece is a manga written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda, who has published it in the Shueisha editorial Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since July 1997, and to date has published a total of 96 compilation volumes.

Additionally, the work inspires an anime adaptation produced by Toei Animation Studios and broadcast since October 1999. The series has aired a total of 929 episodes since then and is currently on indefinite suspension of new episode broadcast caused by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on production.
