A promotional video for the special CD was released on the official site for the Toaru Kagaku no Railgun T anime , the third season of the Toaru Kagaku no Railgun anime , which will be included in the anime's second Blu-ray / DVD compilation.
The Blu-ray / DVD compilation will be released on May 29. The price of the Blu-ray version will be 8,580 yen (about $ 81), while that of the DVD will be 7,480 yen (about $ 70).
Previously, it was announced that due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Japan, the release of CDs with the new opening theme and the new closing theme would be rescheduled for the following dates:
- The opening track “Dual Existence” performed by fripSide which was scheduled to be released on July 8, will now be released on August 19.
- The closing track "Seiran no Ato de" performed by Sajou no Hana that was scheduled to be released on June 24 will now be released on August 19.
For its part, the anime has been broadcast since last January 10 and it is confirmed that it will have a total of 25 episodes. However, the broadcast of new episodes is currently suspended due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on production, and the premiere of episode # 16 was delayed until July 24.

In the futuristic Academy City, where 80% of the residents are students, many of whom are Espers who possess unique psychic powers, Mikoto Misaka is the third strongest of just seven Espers who have received the rank of level 5. The series focuses on the adventures of Mikoto and her friends; Kuroko Shirai, Kazari Uiharu and Ruiko Saten, before and during the events of To Aru Majutsu no Index.
