Being kicked out of the hero's group is already the classic cliché of fantasy, but ending up on the street, old and without a license to work is taking bad luck to another level. Luckily for the protagonist of I Lost My Adventurer's License, but It's Fine Because I Have an Adorable Daughter Now (Boken sha License or Hakudatsusareta Ossan Dakedo, Manamusume ga Dekita node Nonbiri Jinsei or Okasuru), life gave him a second chance in the form of an adorable little girl. The franchise officially confirmed that its anime adaptation will premiere in January 2027, accompanying the news with its first trailer in video and promotional image.

The story introduces us to Douglas, who was once a legendary enhancement mage, but today is nothing more than a weak and outcast old man. After being expelled from the group of heroes and losing his adventurer's license, he ends up wandering aimlessly until he crosses paths with Rabi, a girl struck by a strange curse that will change his path forever.

In the voice section, the experienced actor Hiroki Yasumoto (remembered for playing King in One Punch Man and Elfman in Fairy Tail) will be in charge of giving life to the veteran Douglas. For her part, the renowned actress Yuka Iguchi (voice of Index in A Certain Magical Index and Myne in Ascendance of a Bookworm) will lend her voice to little Rabi.

Behind the scenes, the production will be in charge of Studio Palette. Director Yuki Inaba will not only take over the reins of direction, but will also be in charge of writing and supervising the scripts for the entire series. The character design and main animation direction will be in the hands of Kaori Yoshikawa, while the soundtrack will be composed by the duo of Ohshu and Daiki Okuno under the musical production of Space Shower Music.
