Hibike! Euphonium celebrates its fifth anniversary

In commemoration of its fifth anniversary, the Hibike! Euphonium held an online event titled “Sound! Euphonium is Remote! Matsuri Festival! ” and, during said transmission, he announced several commemorative projects to be held in commemoration. The production team released a special promotional image.


The broadcast is available on YouTube and featured the series' four main voice actresses, including Tomoyo Kurosawa as Kumiko, Chika Anzai as Reina, Moe Toyota as Midori, and Ayaka Asai as Hazuki.


Other announcements during the event include the release of a Drama CD that will narrate events from the novel series that have not been adapted for animation, as well as a new edition of the radio show “Hibike! Eupho-radio! ”, Which will be held for the only time on July 7.


About Hibike! Euphonium

It is an anime based on the series of light novels written by Ayano Takeda and illustrated by Nikki Asada, who began their publication through the Takarajimasha publishing house in December 2013 and ended in June 2019. The work had a total of twelve volumes.

The anime adaptation premiered on April 7, 2015 and featured a total of 13 episodes, as well as an OVA. Subsequently, there was an animated film released in April 2016 and a second season released in October 2016.

From this point on, three animation films premiered in September 2017, April 2018 and April 2019 happened. All these projects were produced by Kyoto Animation studios and most of them were made under the direction of Tatsuya Ishihara.
