Sunrise animation studios are reported to have registered the Love Live! Brand. Superstar !! since last June 16. The documentation was made public earlier today.
The Love Live! Franchise, in fact, has a new anime for which its official title has not been revealed. The new series will take place at a new school titled "Yuigaoka Girls High School", and focuses on the characters (from left to right in the image above) Chisato Arashi, Sumire Heanna, Kanon Shibuya, Tang Keke and Ren Hazuki.
Production team
The project will be spearheaded by renowned creative collective Hajime Yatate. The original concept of the project is the idea of Sakurako Kimino. Naohiko Kyogoku, who was previously in charge of directing the animated project Live Love! School Idol Music will direct the series at Sunrise Studios.
Jukki Hanada (Love Live! Sunshine !!) will be in charge of writing the scripts. On the other hand, Atsushi Saito (Black Fox) will be in charge of designing the characters. Yoshiaki Fujisawa also returns from the first animated project as a composer for music.
The franchise had scheduled a round of auditions to give life to one of the protagonists of the series on March 12, but they had to be postponed due to the pandemic situation in Japan. In these auditions, only single women from 15 to 22 years old could participate and it was completely forbidden for the candidates to be affiliated with a label or a talent agency. Previously, the franchise had announced the animated adaptation for its Love Live! Project. Nijigasaki Gakuen School Idol Dōkōkai which will be released during this 2020.
