On the official Twitter account for the light novels written by Tsutomu Satou, Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei, it was announced that the work will end with the publication of its thirty-second volume, which will be released on September 10.
For his part, Satou began publishing the novels on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in October 2008, and subsequently began publishing it on paper with illustrations by Kana Ishida through the Dengeki Bunko stamps in July 2011. The publisher published the thirty-first volume last April 10.
The play inspired a 26-episode anime adaptation produced by Madhouse Studios under the direction of Manabu Ono, and released in April 2014. A film was subsequently released in June 2017. A second season is confirmed to premiere in the month of October this year.
