Seitokai Yakuindomo's second film is indefinitely delayed

The official website for the anime adaptation of the Seitokai Yakuindomo manga revealed that the second film in the franchise will be delayed indefinitely.

The film was scheduled to be released in Japanese theaters on July 10, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was decided to delay the film's release. The new release date will be revealed soon through the official accounts of the anime.


The original cast of the anime is back to play its corresponding characters. Hiromitsu Kanazawa is the director, while Makoto Furuta is in charge of character design, and Yuya Mori is composing the music.


Seitokai Yakuindomo is a manga series in yonkoma format written and illustrated by Tozen Ujiie. It was serialized in Kodansha Magazine Special magazine in 2007 and was published until July 2008, where it would later be transferred to Weekly Shōnen Magazine, where it resumed publication in September of the same year and is currently still being published.

A thirteen-episode anime series adaptation was produced by GoHands and began airing in Japan on TV Kanagawa on September 26, 2010, followed by a series of 8 OVAs that are treated as chapters from number 14 onwards. A second season was announced and aired in January 2014. It also aired simultaneously via the web on Crunchyroll.

Synopsis of Seitokai Yakuindomo:

Takatoshi Tsuda is an ordinary Japanese teenager, who joins a school that had previously been exclusively for women, where he is forced to join the student council as vice president and male representative. He is burdened by constant work due to his position on the council, also having to endure the perverted conversations of the other members of this and school students.
