Shin Sakura Taisen video game soundtrack to be released this month

The original soundtrack for the PlayStation 4 video game Shin Sakura Taisen (aka Sakura Wars) is reported to be released for digital or physical purchase on June 24. The launch will be priced at 3,600 yen (about $ 32) for the digital version, and 4,500 yen (about $ 40) for the physical three-disc version.


For those interested in acquiring content digitally, it will be available through the iTunes, Amazon and Amazon digital store platforms. Additionally, the soundtrack will be available through subscription sites like Spotify. For those who are only interested in a particular track, the individual price will be 250 yen (about $ 2). As mentioned above, the physical edition will consist of three discs and distribution will be handled by Wade Master Entertainment.

About Sakura Taisen

It is a multimedia franchise created by Oji Hiroi and owned by Sega. The first game in the series was released in September 1996, with six sequels to date and numerous spin-off titles released so far. The series takes place in a fictionalized version of the Taisho Period in Japan, and focuses on a group of girls who can use magic or pilot mechanical robots to combat evil threats.

The anime Shin Sakura Taisen the Animation, which adapts the video game of the same name, is currently on broadcast since April 3, under the production of the Sanzigen studios, the direction and scripts written by Manabu Ono and character designs by Tite Kubo .
