The development department of the Shueisha publishing house and the editorial department of the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced the opening of the project "Shueisha Startup Accelerator Program: Manga Tech 2020". The show seeks fans to post ideas on "how to change the future of the manga industry," "accelerate the evolution of the industry," and "update the industry."
The program essentially seeks business proposals from companies and individuals for the manga industry, character licenses, and publishers. The program will be accepting ideas until September 30, with the publication of the ideas scheduled for the end of October and the end of November.
The winner of the winning idea will receive one million yen (approximately 9,300 yen) to support the implementation of the proposal, and the two finalists will obtain 500,000 yen (approximately $ 4,600) and 100,000 yen (approximately $ 930), respectively.
