The Kumo desu ga light novels, Nani ka? exceed two million copies in circulation

On the official site for light novels written by Okina Baba and illustrated by Tsukasa Kiryuu, Kumo desu ga, Nani ka ?, it was reported that the franchise has exceeded two million copies in circulation.


Baba and Kiryuu began publishing the light novels in December 2015 through the Fujimi Shobo publisher. The publisher published the twelfth volume on January 10, and confirmed that it will publish the thirteenth volume on July 10.

A manga adaptation by Asahiro Kakashi has been published in Kodansha's Young Ace Up magazine since December 2015. The publisher published the eighth compilation volume on March 3. The play is inspiring an anime adaptation that will premiere in January 2021.

Synopsis of Kumo desu ga, Nani ka?

The world where the Hero and the Demon King continue to oppose each other. The great magic of the Hero and the Demon King cross worlds and explode in the classroom of a certain high school.

The students who died in the explosion will be reincarnated in a different world. The protagonist, who has the lowest reputation in the class, reincarnated as a spider. However, she quickly adapted to the present condition with great willpower.

This is a story of a spider trying its best to survive.
