Machikado Mazoku anime gets a second season

On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Izumi Itou, Machikado Mazoku, the production of a second season of the project was confirmed. The statement included a promotional video, but did not reveal a release date.


This had previously been confirmed on the cover of this year's tenth edition of Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine by publisher Houbunsha, published today in Japan. A promotional image for this second season was also published.


For its part, Itou has been publishing the manga in Houbunsha publishing house's Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine since 2014. The publishing house published the fifth compilation volume in June 2019.

The play inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by J.C. Staff, directed by Hiroaki Sakurai and scripts written by Keiichirou Ouchi, released in July 2019.
